Job summary

Rite of Passage Brand in Miami, FL is seeking a Recreational Manager to lead daily recreational activities for youth at the South Florida Youth Academy. You will design safe, engaging programs and supervise staff within the Student Services Department.

The role requires a BA/BS in therapeutic recreation or equivalent with 1–3 years’ experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to evidence-based practices in residential care. On-site work with benefits provided.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in therapeutic recreation or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to lead staff and promote positive culture.

Responsibilities

South Florida Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk male youth aged 14 to 18who require behavioral/mental health,substance abuse, andmajor disorderservices. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program.

What you will do: You will work as a staff member of the Student Services Department team. Primarily responsible for providing daily recreational and leisure time that is physically challenging, educational, and constructive. The Recreation Manager reports to the Clinical Director.

To be considered, you should Process:

• BA/BS degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent with one to three years' experience.
• Working knowledge of the Positive Operation Culture.
• Leadership ability is necessary to instill high-standard positive attitudes among staff and students.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively serve students.
