Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) in Gulfport, MS, seeks a friendly recreation support assistant to provide information, assist with events, and operate POS systems. You will handle transactions, help patrons, and support daily recreation activities in a busy community setting.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to follow procedures, and effective communication both in person and in writing.

Qualifications

• Experience or education relevant to customer service in recreation settings.
• Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash accurately.
• Ability to read and follow rules and SOPs.
• Ability to perform basic custodial and clerical tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and support for recreation and fitness programs.
• Operate POS/cash register and process transactions.
• Assist in event setup and breakdown as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic custodial tasks.
• Greet patrons and handle requests and referrals.
