Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a versatile Recreation Support worker to assist the Community Recreation program, coordinate events, manage inventory, and process registrations. You will help with outreach, scheduling, and ensuring quality customer service for base personnel and visiting ships.

The role involves handling payments, maintaining records, and supporting workshops, trips, and outdoor recreation activities as part of the MWR mission.

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and or recreation activity-based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and information for Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Process payments using POS and record daily sales accurately.
• Maintain inventory, equipment checkout procedures and inspections.
• Assist in planning and promoting MWR programs and special events.
• Support event setup/breakdown and day-to-day program administration.
