Job summary

Qualifications

• Language skills: ability to read, write, and speak clearly.
• Reasoning: problem solving and following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, promote, and direct recreation programs for people with developmental disabilities.
• Direct activities like sports, drama, games and crafts to build social skills.
• Instruct relaxation techniques, calisthenics, and group/individual sports.
• Counsel and encourage participation; coordinate special outings and events.
• Prepare progress charts and reports for the treatment team; supervise staff and volunteers.
