The City of Monroe, NC, seeks an attentive Parks and Recreation Center Aide to assist with daily community center activities, oversee rentals, and support facility operations under supervision.

This role is sedentary and customer-facing, requiring lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, responding to inquiries, collecting fees, enforcing rules, and helping maintain safe recreation spaces. CPR/AED/First Aid certifications and NC driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent requirement.
• CPR, AED and Basic First Aid certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license in North Carolina.
• Ability to supervise participants and maintain order in a public facility.

Responsabilités

• Admitting and overseeing participants utilizing recreation facilities including centers, rentals, programs, fields and events.
• Collect user fees.
• Monitor participants in programs and facility rentals.
• Answers telephone and assists callers or forwards to appropriate personnel.
• Enforces facility and park rules and maintains order.
• Maintains cleanliness and order of the recreation center, park facilities and fields.
• Prepares facilities, equipment and grounds for activities; maintains security.
• Maintains activity reports; fills out accident reports and administers first aid.
• Performs related tasks as required.
