Job summary

City of Raleigh Recreation Leaders serve as the face of the community center, delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily operations. You help with registrations, rentals, and program activity, while maintaining records and ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Training in First Aid/CPR will be provided. Ideal candidates have prior customer service experience and are capable of lifting at least 30 lbs; recreation experience is a plus, and staff may supervise in the absence of full-time

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service setting is required.
• Experience in a recreation setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct daily program and staff activities.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patrons.
• Manage registrations and facility/shelter rentals; collect fees per policy.
• Maintain records using Excel, Word, and RecTrac; general filing.
• Assist with cleaning and preparing attendance reports.
• Supervise check-in/check-out for programs; give feedback on goals and objectives.
• Create activity schedules and distribute promotional information.
