The City of Monroe is seeking a part-time Recreation Assistant to support daily community center activities and oversee facility use for rentals and events. You will help maintain order, assist participants, collect fees, and support program operations under supervision.

Responsibilities include supervising children and groups, ensuring safety, preparing facilities and equipment, answering calls, and maintaining records and cleanliness across parks and athletic fields.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Valid driver's license for North Carolina.
• Ability to manage groups of children and maintain order.
• Knowledge of basic recreation program practices.

Mansioni

• Admit and oversee participants using recreation facilities and events.
• Collect user fees and monitor facility usage.
• Answer telephone calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Enforce facility and park rules and maintain order.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of facilities and grounds.
• Prepare facilities, equipment, and grounds for activities; maintain reports.
