Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Parks & Recreation, Hospitality/Tourism, Sports/Athletic Management, or Business Management, or related field.
• Public relations and customer service experience.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a parks and recreation setting.
• Ability to develop, promote and coordinate a wide variety of recreational activities and programs.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Publisher, Social Media).
• Facility Management software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and supervises the operations of assigned recreation program areas and facility operations.
• Oversees subordinate staff and volunteers; selects, assigns, trains, directs, schedules, and monitors staff duties; evaluates performance and initiates disciplinary actions when needed.
• Train staff in responsibility areas; conduct in-service training; monitor licenses and certifications; develop staff.
