Job summary

City of Folsom is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate programs and facility use for the Recreation & Community Services Division. This in-person, exempt position oversees Aquatics, Sports, and Community & Cultural Services, with opportunities to work with community groups and schools.

The role involves staff supervision, budget management, and coordination of programs and rental agreements. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, leisure management, or closely related field.
• Experience planning, organizing, and evaluating recreation programs and events.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff; manage budgets and programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise the assigned area of the Recreation & Community Service Division.
• Assign work, hire, supervise, train, discipline, and evaluate staff.
• Develop, implement, and oversee program budgets and master schedules for facility use.
• Coordinate with FCUSD for joint-use agreements and facility rentals.
• Prepare written reports for department, commission, city council, and others.
