Job summary

The City Of Wheat Ridge is seeking a part-time Recreation staff member to assist in managing operations at the Rec Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. You will help supervise staff and customers across the pool, gyms, rooms, and courts while promoting a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include customer service, incident reporting, cash handling, scheduling via RecTrac, registrations, room setup, and coordination with vendors. Must be able to lift light objects and work varied hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience related to facility operations is preferred.
• Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and first Aid certification upon hire.
• Knowledge to use office equipment and facility operations.
• Ability to learn RecTrac and operate it with intermediate knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patrons visiting Wheat Ridge recreation facilities.
• Responds to facility complaints referring unusual situations to Recreation Supervisor-Facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of facilities and discipline in assigned areas.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for janitorial, electrical, and property management tasks.
• Work with aquatic staff for coordinated facility operations.
• Assist with front counter supervision and registration processes.
• Perform incident reports for injuries or property loss.
• Handle daily cash control operations and balance with ledgers.
• Support room set up, event setup, and basic janitorial duties.
