Job summary

EmergencyMD seeks a Recreation Center Assistant Manager to supervise daily operations at the Cortez Recreation Center, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the community.

You will manage Front Desk staff, support programming, reservations, and billing, and oversee gym, track, courts, pools, and meeting spaces. The role includes stepping in for the Recreation Center Manager when required and maintaining steady guest experience.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience of at least 1 year.
• Strong communication skills and sound supervisory judgment.
• Calm, professional public interaction in stressful situations.
• Basic understanding of accounting; ability to learn recreation database software.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled repair/maintenance; strong visual acuity for facility oversight.
• Knowledge of municipal organization and procedures.
• Valid Colorado Driver License; obtain First Aid/CPR/AED within 90 days (pool knowledge preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Front Desk/Customer Service/Administration team and support programming, reservations, and billing.
• Act as operational supervisor and cover Recreation Center Manager when needed.
• Ensure proper operation of gym, track, courts, pools, meeting spaces, locker rooms, and other facility areas.
