Job summary

City of Cortez, Colorado is seeking a Recreation Center Assistant Manager to keep the facility running safely and smoothly for the community. You will serve as the operational supervisor and cover the Recreation Center Manager when needed.

You will supervise the Front Desk/Customer Service/Administration team, support programming, reservations, and billing, and help ensure the gym, track, fitness space, courts, meeting rooms, locker rooms, and pool operate in harmony.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication and public interaction in stressful situations.
• Basic accounting understanding and ability to learn recreation software.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled repair/maintenance; good visual acuity for facility oversight.
• Valid Colorado Driver License; obtain First Aid/CPR/AED within 90 days.
