Job summary

Abilene is seeking an entry-level recreation center assistant to deliver excellent customer service at the first point of contact. You will handle check-ins, registrations, and facility inquiries, supporting daily operations and event setups.

Responsibilities include assisting with e-gaming activities, equipment setup, and basic troubleshooting while maintaining safety and adherence to center policies. A valid Texas driver’s license and flexibility to work evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, and clean up for programs and rentals.
• Greet and direct rental contacts.
• Provide customer service support for e-gaming activities, including setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage check-ins and registrations; assist with facility inquiries.
• Operate a City or personal vehicle to visit other locations, attend meetings and events.
