Job summary

Town of Avon is seeking a Recreation Services Coordinator to support front desk operations and facility management at the Avon Recreation Center. You will ensure a welcoming guest experience while handling registrations, payments, and program coordination.

Ideal candidates have a recreation or related degree with customer service experience and the ability to obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days. The role requires flexibility for mid-day to late-evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with extensive customer service experience.
• Two years of progressive relatable job experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors at the Avon Recreation Center front desk with professional, welcoming service.
• Process financial transactions including passes, registrations, and payments using the facility software.
• Support program registration, membership sales, and class enrollment; assist with facility oversight and safety.
