The U.S. Department of the Navy seeks a Lifeguard for the Naval Station Norfolk Aquatics. In this role, you will ensure the safety of patrons at aquatic facilities and assist in training programs. Candidates should possess essential certifications and showcase knowledge of safety protocols, communication skills, and the ability to handle aquatic emergencies effectively.
This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Naval Station Norfolk Aquatics. Incumbent provides lifeguard duties; is responsible for safeguarding the lives of persons at the assigned work area; assists with aquatic training, education, and general support at the installation.
Pool and/or waterfront lifeguard duties comprise 60% of the incumbent's time and include, but are not limited to:
