Job summary

Complete Care - Connecticut is hiring a Recreation Assistant to lead and participate in activities such as games, crafts, and exercise sessions for residents. You will tailor programs from assessments and care plans, and help plan schedules, communicating with residents, families, and staff.

The role requires TRD certification and the ability to work independently or with others, with a focus on compassionate, individualized care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• TRD (Therapeutic Recreation Degree/Certification) is required.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and others.
• Knowledge of elderly ill and/or disabled.
