Job summary

Complete Care in Groton, Connecticut is seeking a Recreation Assistant to lead and participate in activities such as games, crafts, exercise sessions, and other group programs for residents in long-term care. You will plan, schedule, and adapt activities based on resident assessments, and communicate with residents, families, and staff.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and long-term care experience is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
