Description

Job Overview:

Full Time Tuesday-Saturday 8a-4:30pm

Together with the Recreation Director, the Recreation Assistant assists in the development and execution of therapeutic recreational services to all residents with supervision in accordance with federal, state and local standards. Helps ensure the highest quality recreation program is provided.

The Recreation Assistant assists in a full range of therapeutic recreational programs and activities for all residents with appropriate concern for residents’ physical and emotional limitations, and individual interests. Ensures observance of religious days, social events, national holidays and traditional celebrations when planning residents’ calendar of events. Encourages resident participation in therapeutic recreational activities. Carries out activities appropriate to resident’s level of functioning.
