Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to support residents in our long-term care setting. This part-time role requires engaging group activities and individualized plans aligned with care assessments.

You will lead group programs, provide one-on-one activities, and help with scheduling while communicating with residents, families, and staff to ensure a high level of compassionate care.

Qualifications

• TRD degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Willingness to work part-time and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in activities like games, crafts, exercise sessions, and other group programs.
• Provide one-on-one activities or modifications as needed based on individual resident assessments and care plans.
• Assist with activity planning and scheduling.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff about activities and programs.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Knowledge of elderly ill and/or disabled.
