Job summary

Complete Care in Connecticut is hiring a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to lead and participate in activities for residents, including games, crafts, and exercise sessions, with care plans guiding individual needs.

You will work both independently and with a team, scheduling activities, communicating with residents and families, and ensuring high-quality care in a compassionate setting. The role may involve long hours during weekends and requires flexibility to support residents' well-being.

Qualifications

• TRD degree preferred but not required.
• Graduation from high school or GED preferred.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Ability to work independently or in a group.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Kindness toward elderly residents and families.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Knowledge of elderly ill and/or disabled.
