Job summary

North Westchester Restorative Therapy is urgently seeking a Full-time Recreation Aide. The role involves supervising activities and events for Residents, creating engaging programs, and collaborating with staff to provide enjoyable experiences. A friendly, energetic approach is essential.

Two years in geriatric recreation is preferred; education supporting activities and event planning is a plus. Evening, weekend, and holiday adaptability is expected.

*Preferred two years' experience in recreation in a geriatric setting, ability to work effectively as a team member

Requirements:

• A high school diploma and certain certifications may be required.
• More education or experience with nursing homes, short-term rehabilitation, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred.
• Physical fitness's, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.
• Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent resource management and record-keeping
• Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work when needed, especially some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.32 per hour

Schedule: M-F 9-5, Weekends as needed
