Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Recreation Aide for a part-time role at a golf course in Cocoa Beach, Florida. You will work with the golf range, operate equipment, and assist with carts, cleaning, and maintenance, while greeting golfers and enforcing course rules.

You must be able to work outdoors in various weather, stand for long periods, and help with events and setup. A valid Florida driver’s license or reliable transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recreation Aid works with golf range and operates equipment such as range ball picker. Organizes, cleans and maintains golf balls and associated equipment. Cleans driving mats. Fills Divots on driving range.
• Recreation Aid works with golf course carts and operates golf carts as needed. Maintaining golf carts such as cleaning, washing, parking, sweeping out carts and maintaining cart staging areas. Maintain record of broken carts needing repair.
• Meets and greets golfers. Monitors golfers to ensure appropriate rules and policies are followed by all employees and golfers. Addresses any problems found on the course.
• May be required to operate tee time computer to assist with starting players on the various courses to maintain flow of the course.
• Answer phone when needed.
• Maintains water coolers on the golf course.
• Empty garbage as needed.
• Assists with set-up and tear down of special events as needed.
• Assists other pro shop or golf course employees as needed.

• Performs other related work as required.
• Assists in setting up equipment, furniture, etc., for various events; assists in clean-up tasks after events.
• Assist with cleanliness and maintenance of golf course.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to work on feet for length of shift.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

Possession of a valid Florida driver's license, and/or reliable transportation to work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including computers, typewriters, copiers, calculators, etc. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work may involve standing, walking and running. Requires the ability to maintain body equilibrium when bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching and/or stretching arms, legs or other parts of body, and to physically maneuver over and/or upon varying terrain, surfaces or physical structures. Physical demand requirements are for Light to Medium Work.
