Job Summary (EssentialFunctions)
Ensure smooth and reasonable pace of play on golf course to avoid bottlenecks and delays. Patrol golf course to prevent unauthorized people from using facilities. Assist golfers during play and in any emergencies on the course. Administer First Aid, if necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Observes paceofplay.
- Requestsslowerplayinggroupstospeeduporallowotherstoplaythrough,ifappropriate.
- Escortsunauthorizedpeoplefromcourseaswellasunrulymembersorguests.
- Preventsplayersfromenteringthecoursebeyondthestartingtees.
- Reportsallinfractionstostarter.
- Ensuresthatbunkersareraked.
- Monitors course maintenance problems. Ensuresthatdivotsand ball marksarerepairedandthatotherhazardous areas are marked for repair.
- Preparewrittenreportswhencomplaints,accidentsorotherincidencesoccur.
- Ensuresthatsuppliessuchas flags,waterbottlesandcupsareproperly placed throughout thecoursebeforeand duringgames; lets managementknow when supplies run low.
- Carriesandprovidescleantowels andwaterforballwashers.
- Replacestowelsonballwashers.
- Replenisheswaterin ballwashers.
- Assists Starteratfirstteeduringheavydemandperiods.
- Monitorsgolfcoursemaintenanceproblems.
- Removes loosetrashfromgolfcourse.
- Maydeliverurgentmessagestoplayersoncourse.
- Explainsrulesofthegametoplayerstoresolvedisputes.
- Fillson-coursewatercoolers;replenishescupsupplies.
- Keepslogofdailyactivities.
- Obtainsnecessarytournamentpermits.
- Returnslostequipmenttoownersortoclubhouse.
- Servesasliaisonbetweenplayers,management andotheremployees.
- Mayhelp tostoregolfcarsand otherequipment attheendof theday.May assistincleaningcoursefacilities.
- PerformsotherappropriatetasksasassignedbyAssistantGolfProfessional.
