Job summary

The Eifler Fitness Center at Fort Huachuca, AZ seeks a team member to support daily operations of the fitness facility and assist with programs for patrons.

You will help with equipment usage guidance, setup for instructors and events, and the distribution of posters and promotional materials to promote healthy activities on base.

This position is located at Eifler Fitness Center on Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Incentives and Bonuses

• Incentives will not be paid.

Subsequent referrals to the Hiring Manager will occur weekly. The first cut-off date for this position will be 16 September 2026. Then every Wednesday thereafter until all positions are filled.

Duties

• Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts.
• Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
• Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability adjudication.
• Must be willing to accept a flexible appointment.
• Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service.

Area of Consideration

• This job is open to candidates who reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

PCS Costs

• Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Allowances and Differentials

• This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
