Job summary

The Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) at Fort Huachuca is seeking a Facilities Support Assistant to help operate the fitness facility. You will circulate among patrons, provide information on equipment use, and assist instructors, events, and maintenance tasks.

The role also involves promoting programs and handling equipment issuance and minor repairs. Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required; a one-year probation may be needed, and you must meet pre-employment checks.

Conditions of employment

  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

  • Appointment subject to favorable suitability adjudication.

  • Must be willing to accept a flexible appointment

  • Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service.

Area of Consideration


  • This job is open to candidates who reside within 80 miles of Fort Huachuca. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)


PCS Costs


  • Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.


Allowances and Differentials


  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
