Community Health Resources seeks a Residential Aide for Roots to Recovery in Willimantic, CT. The per diem, flexible position supports a 24/7 residential treatment program for men, focusing on recovery skills and structured environment.

The role involves assisting residents, supervising medications, and coordinating with the treatment team to ensure program standards. Educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with preference for two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitor self-administration of client medications.
• Collaborates with coworkers and clients using appropriate communication methods.
• Teaches and assists residents in activities of daily living.
• Assists/Manages administrative functions as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Addresses medical and psychiatric needs of residents.
• Maintains documentation per agency standards.
• Participates in staff meetings and trainings.
