Job summary

Community Health Resources is seeking a Residential Aide for the Willimantic program. The role supports a structured recovery residence environment, assists residents with daily living tasks, and coordinates activities and groups under supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, experience in human services, and a valid driver’s license with required certifications. The role includes weekend coverage and adherence to program standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Human Services with responsible work history is required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record; CPR & First Aid Certification required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitors medications of all residents.
• Transmits information to staff about day’s events.
• Teaches and assists residents in rehab areas (nutrition, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, home care).
• Assists/Manages administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and individual interventions.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Addresses medical and psychiatric needs of residents.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with standards.
• Participates in staff meetings, supervision and trainings.
