Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in substance use treatment, mental health or related field.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.
• Basic computer skills and documentation proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license if transporting clients is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor client behavior for safety and program adherence.
• Perform routine wellness checks and document observations.
• Provide support during distress or crisis and escalate to clinical staff as needed.
• Assist clients with daily routines and recovery-oriented goals.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients.
• Encourage participation in programming and recovery activities.
• Model professional communication and supportive interactions.
• Assist with or co-facilitate life-skills groups and recovery check-ins.
• Provide orientation to new clients about rules and schedules.
• Complete incident reports and shift summaries; communicate important information to supervisors.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
