Job summary

New Day Recovery is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to provide direct patient observation and clinical support within Residential Treatment Facilities. The role includes completing daily EMR notes, guiding patients to attend groups and appointments, and assisting with intakes, discharges, and transportation as needed.

The position emphasizes maintaining confidentiality, working within a multi-cultural setting, and complying with agency policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, community-based organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
• Must pass UDS and criminal history checks.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hourly observations and ensure correct location numbers are logged.
• Complete EMR notes in a timely, clear manner.
• Supervise group attendance and ensure patients attend groups and appointments.
• Process intakes and discharges and related paperwork.
• Transport patients to hospital or appointments as needed.
• Monitor and document patient calls and sign-in sheets.
• Conduct daily room checks and searches as required.
