BestCare Treatment Services, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Recovery Mentor to support clients in our SUD program. Role involves coordinating education, referrals, and group activities, while modeling recovery behaviors and maintaining personal recovery.

You will work with the supervisor to design program components and assist with education and support sessions. The position emphasizes transportation, case management referrals, and active engagement with clients across outpatient and day treatment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Must have personal lived experience with Substance Use Disorder.
• Must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years at time of hire.
• CRM-I certification or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
• PSS or THW certification or ability/commitment to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability/commitment to obtain within 60 days of hiring.
• Must maintain a valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire, and be insurable under the org’s auto liability coverage policy.

Responsabilités

• Regular telephone contact with clients needing support and outreach to reengage those missing services.
• Provide transportation to treatments and appointments as approved.
• Offer recovery coaching during activities and group sessions.
• Attend home visits on a limited basis with supervisor approval.
• Attend sober support meetings and community sober activities with clients.
• Monitor and stay connected to clients in residential or detox settings for reengagement after discharge.
• Take individuals or groups to 12‑Step meetings and sober activities as appropriate.
• Assist with case management including referrals to resources like Food Bank, primary care, housing, etc.
• Assist prep and clean-up for evening groups and support office/group activities.
• Provide individual, couples, and family support; back-up to clinicians in groups and other activities.
