Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services Inc in Prineville, OR, is seeking a Recovery Mentor to support clients in our Day Treatment program. You will provide coaching, transportation and referral support, working under supervision with the SUD team.

The role requires lived experience with SUD, a high school diploma, and readiness to obtain CRM-I and THW certifications within 6 months. This position emphasizes community-based outreach, relapse prevention, and collaboration with clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Must have personal lived experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
• Must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years at the time of hire.
• Requires CRM-I certification or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
• Requires PSS or THW certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hiring.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hiring.
• Must maintain a valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire, and be insurable under the organization’s auto liability policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides recovery coaching to clients and supports engagement and relapse prevention.
• Makes regular outreach calls to reengage clients in treatment services.
• Provides client transportation when approved by supervisor.
• Attends sober support meetings and community activities with clients.
• Maintains case notes in the electronic health record system (EHR).
• Assists the SUD team with UA drug testing as needed.
• Supports clinicians in group sessions and related activities.
• Helps clients develop non-using recovery activities and connections.
• Completes attendance sheets and required reports.
