Job summary

Brightli is seeking a Peer Specialist to help individuals build recovery skills and engage in their recovery journey.

You will collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, coordinate with guardians, and provide transportation to Recovery Support Services and community resources. A strong emphasis on ethics, confidentiality, and professional boundaries guides daily work.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to self-identify as a present or former client of mental health and/or substance use services.
• Requires one year of direct experience with the mental health system as a primary consumer.
• Able to complete state-approved peer support training within six months of employment.
• Exceptions to qualifications may be made by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalized treatment plans with individuals.
• Maintain communication with referral sources and guardians about progress and planning.
• Participate in meetings to ensure continuity of care.
• Research and refer to outside resources when necessary.
• Schedule appointments and provide transportation to Recovery Support Services.
• Accompany clients to appointments when permitted.
• Support clients in accessing medical services and document all services per standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and facilitate group education sessions.
