Job summary

Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan, CT is seeking a Recovery Support Clinician to help clients stay motivated and connected to recovery through daily therapeutic activities, group therapy, and outreach calls in collaboration with primary clinicians and the alumni department.

The role includes facilitating groups and individual sessions, conducting crisis intervention, maintaining professional boundaries, and documenting progress in client records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CAC certification in a related field, CAC required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• Minimum of 3 years' experience/ knowledge in substance abuse treatment
• Experience in group facilitation and individual sessions with crisis management

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing counseling and support to clients with a focus on recovery
• Facilitate groups and individual sessions with crisis management
• Conduct outreach calls to assess well-being and maintain connection to Mountainside
• Document progress notes and discharge updates in client records
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical behavior with clients
• Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements
