Job summary

Association for Individual Development (AID) in Elgin, IL is hiring a Recovery Support Specialist for the CST team. The role centers on empowering adults with mental health needs through peer-led services, crisis support, and coordinated care.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure timely documentation while promoting recovery-oriented practices in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health recovery and empowerment models.
• CRSS certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Must meet required program documentation standards per Rule 132.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled hours and respond to calls during shifts.
• Provide independent crisis counseling and crisis plans.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans with clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing notes.
• Promote consumer-run programming and peer support.
• Coordinate with families, case managers and providers.
