Job summary

New Day Recovery is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to provide daily observations and documentation for residents in treatment. You will guide patients to attend groups and appointments, complete EMR notes, and maintain safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include transportation of patients, group monitoring, intake/discharge processing, and delivering educational sessions. A high school diploma or GED is required, with driving privileges and a clean history preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Experience with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders preferred.
Clear UDS and criminal history required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Maintain complete hourly observation checks and record location numbers in the correct time slot.
Complete EMR notes during the appropriate shift.
Ensure patients are monitored during groups and attendance is tracked.
Do not pull staff from assigned patients unless necessary.
Transport patients to hospital or outside appointments and stay with them.
Monitor and log all residential and detox phone calls.
Stock the supply closet and provide education/support groups.
