Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the Inpatient Treatment Program Clinical Stabilization Services in Lowell, MA. You will help maintain a safe environment and support clients' movement and daily operations under supervision.

You will perform client transportation as needed, conduct alcohol and drug screens with respect, assist with admissions/discharges, and help keep units clean and orderly while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred.
• Excellent verbal, social and writing skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally in diverse settings.
• Basic computer skills for electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment at all times with a focus on high-quality services and patient satisfaction.
• Facilitate movement of clients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion.
• Provide transportation for clients using the program vehicle when needed.
• Conduct alcohol and drug screens on clients with respect and dignity.
• Assist with admission and discharge procedures as required.
• Oversee housekeeping to keep units clean and orderly.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay rate: $20.00-$23.00/hour

The Recovery Specialist Is Responsible For

• Maintaining a safe environment at all times with an emphasis on high-quality services and customer satisfaction
• Facilitating the movement of clients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion
• Providing transportation for clients and in support of program operations using the program vehicle when needed
• Conducting alcohol and drug screens on clients using an approach that demonstrates respect and dignity for the clients.
• Assisting with admission and discharge procedures as required
• Overseeing the clients' general housekeeping chores with participation in light housekeeping as needed, ensuring that the units remain clean and orderly

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred
• Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with patients, families, staff and regulatory agencies
• Must have basic ability in use of computers to be able make entries and utilize electronic health records
