Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Lowell, MA is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the inpatient CSS program. The role focuses on safety, quality service, and supporting clients in a structured setting.

You will move clients safely, provide transportation when needed, and conduct alcohol and drug screens with respect. Additional duties include admissions, discharges, and light housekeeping. Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00pm–11:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred.
• Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills.
• Must display independent judgment to determine course of action in emergencies.
• Able to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary setting with patients, families, staff and regulators.
• Basic computer skills to enter data and use electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe environment with high-quality services and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitating movement of clients around the building in a safe and orderly fashion.
• Providing transportation for clients using program vehicle when needed.
• Conducting alcohol and drug screens with respect and dignity for clients.
• Assisting with admission and discharge procedures as required.
• Overseeing housekeeping to keep units clean and orderly.

Pay rate

$20.00-$23.00/hour

The Recovery Specialist Is Responsible For

• Maintaining a safe environment at all times with an emphasis on high-quality services and customer satisfaction
• Facilitating the movement of clients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion
• Providing transportation for clients and in support of program operations using the program vehicle when needed
• Conducting alcohol and drug screens on clients using an approach that demonstrates respect and dignity for the clients.
• Assisting with admission and discharge procedures as required
• Overseeing the clients' general housekeeping chores with participation in light housekeeping as needed, ensuring that the units remain clean and orderly
