Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Westborough, MA is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the Westboro Inpatient CSS program. This is a full-time, on-site role with Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm-11:30pm schedule at the Westboro site.

You will ensure a safe environment and deliver high-quality, person-centered care to clients in an inpatient treatment setting. You will facilitate client movement, provide transportation when needed, perform alcohol and drug screens, assist with admissions/discharges, and help

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred, not required.
• Excellent verbal, social and writing skills are essential.
• Must display appropriate independent judgment in emergencies and problem-solving.
• Ability to express self in written and oral communication in a diverse setting.
• Basic computer skills to enter data and use electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment at all times with focus on high-quality services and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate movement of clients around the building and grounds safely and orderly.
• Provide transportation for clients and support program operations using the program vehicle when needed.
• Conduct alcohol and drug screens on clients with respectful approach.
• Assist with admission and discharge procedures as required.
• Oversee clients' housekeeping duties and keep units clean and orderly.

Schedule: Full-time. Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Pay rate: $20.00-$23.00/hour

The Recovery Specialist is responsible for:

• Maintaining a safe environment at all times with an emphasis on high-quality services and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitating the movement of clients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion.
• Providing transportation for clients and in support of program operations using the program vehicle when needed.
• Conducting alcohol and drug screens on clients using an approach that demonstrates respect and dignity for the clients.
• Assisting with admission and discharge procedures as required.
• Overseeing the clients' general housekeeping chores with participation in light housekeeping as needed, ensuring that the units remain clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred, not required.
• Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
• Must have basic ability in use of computers to be able make entries and utilize electronic health records.
