Job summary

The Recovery Specialist position at Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Lowell, MA supports our Inpatient Treatment Program Acute Treatment Services (ATS).

This part-time role offers 32 hours weekly on a 3rd shift, Friday to Monday, 11:00pm–7:30am, with competitive pay and benefits. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment, assist with admissions/discharges, transport clients as needed, and conduct alcohol and drug screens while upholding respect and dignity for clients and collaborating

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred, not required
• Excellent verbal, social and writing skills
• Must display independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in emergencies
• Able to express self in writing and speech in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting
• Basic computer skills to enter data and use electronic health records

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment at all times with emphasis on high-quality services and customer satisfaction
• Facilitate movement of clients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion
• Provide transportation for clients and support program operations using the program vehicle when needed
• Conduct alcohol and drug screens on clients with respect and dignity
• Assist with admission and discharge procedures and oversee general housekeeping to keep units clean and orderly

The Recovery Specialist Is Responsible For

• Maintaining a safe environment at all times with an emphasis on high-quality services and customer satisfaction
• Facilitating the movement of clients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion
• Providing transportation for clients and in support of program operations using the program vehicle when needed
• Conducting alcohol and drug screens on clients using an approach that demonstrates respect and dignity for the clients
• Assisting with admission and discharge procedures as requiredOverseeing the clients' general housekeeping chores with participation in light housekeeping as needed, ensuring that the units remain clean and orderly
