Qualifications

• RN licensure and current CPR/BLS, ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC or TNS required by 6/2026, NRP and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• ICU/PCCC units have specific codes listed for certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to support patients and families.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care with the healthcare team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote health.
• Demonstrate clinical judgement and report changes in patient condition.
• Complete accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Contribute to policies to improve patient safety and care quality.
• Supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel.
• Advocate for patients through collaboration with health professionals.
• Complete required education and licensure on time.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency.
