Job summary

MetroPlusHealth is seeking a passionate Peer Specialist to provide recovery-focused support to members with serious mental illness and substance use history. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of professional behavioral health experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of recovery processes and SMI/SUD.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist peers in articulating recovery goals and create recovery plans.
• Coordinate with BH care team to support goals and self-directed recovery.
• Assist with housing applications and transportation to appointments.
• Lead Recovery Dialogues and mentor peers to overcome relapse fears.
• Document notes in EMR and use MS Office for reporting.
