• Lived mental health experience from first-hand, personal knowledge and understanding gained from directly navigating and receiving services.
• Experience as a peer advocate in the mental health system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health services in multiple settings (emergency, inpatient, outpatient, community support, residential).
• Serve as a role model and educate recipients on self-help techniques and coping strategies.
• Assist recipients in clarifying rehabilitation and recovery goals and developing support systems.
• Facilitate development of self-help skills, support systems and hope to aid recovery.
