Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CRPA/CRPA-Provisional or NYCPS/NYCPS-Provisional or CARC/OASAS-30 hour Training preferred.
  • At least two years of work or volunteer experience in a recovery-oriented setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provides in-person, individualized support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns.
  • Serves as a role model, mentor, and advocate to prevent relapse and promote recovery.
  • Delivers strength-based, recovery-oriented services solo and with the team.
  • Builds trust with clients and supports outreach in the community and program settings.
  • Helps clients develop and implement person-centered recovery plans aligned with care plans.
  • Shares lived experiences to foster hope and recovery.
  • Coordinates services through collaboration with staff, providers, and families/friends.
  • Assists clients with entitlements and concrete services via phone and written correspondence.
