Qualifications include CRPA or CARC, OASAS training, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to travel across the catchment area using public transportation.

Qualifications

• CRPA/CRPA-Provisional or CARC certification required or in process.
• OASAS 30 Hour Recovery Coach Training and Peer Ethics Training.
• High school diploma or GED; recovery-oriented experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel across catchment area and use public transit.
• Experience with advocacy, outreach and engagement in recovery supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person individualized support to individuals with mental health or substance use diagnoses.
• Serve as role model, mentor and advocate to prevent relapse and promote recovery.
• Develop and implement person-centered recovery plans with clients.
• Coordinate services with staff, providers and clients' families and supports.
• Document interactions and services for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Attend supervision and training sessions; maintain competency in evidence-based practices.
