Job summary

Project 180 is seeking a Peer Navigator in Los Angeles to provide peer-to-peer support, transportation services, and linkages to community resources within the Rapid Diversion Program. The role emphasizes lived experience with recovery and requires strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to empower clients toward independence.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health/substance use recovery or criminal justice system is required.
• Spanish speaking required.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in safely attending community and linkage appointments.
• Accompany clients to field activities and link them to community resources.
• Support jail pick-up and welcoming process for clients.
• Use de-escalation and problem-solving skills; escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Provide friendly, professional client service and liaise with treatment teams.
• Coordinate transportation and manage daily schedules and tasks.
