Job summary

New Freedom in the United States is seeking a Peer Coach – Driver to provide recovery-focused peer support, transportation, and advocacy within our programs. You will mentor members, help access treatment, employment resources, and community supports while modeling positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• PRSS Certification required.
• Minimum one year of peer support, behavioral health, recovery services, reentry services, or related experience (2+ years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Providing peer support, mentorship, advocacy, and recovery coaching services.
• Assisting members in identifying strengths, setting goals, and developing recovery-focused plans.
• Supporting members in developing life skills, social skills, and community integration strategies.
• Transporting members safely to approved appointments, employment activities, treatment services, community resources, and recovery supports.
• Conducting prison pick-ups, release transports, and other approved transportation assignments when needed.
• Completing vehicle inspections, mileage logs, and transportation documentation.
• Maintaining assigned vehicles in a safe, clean, and professional condition.
• Collaborating with clinical, reentry, transitional services, and case management teams to support member success.
