Job summary

Gándara Center in Holyoke, MA is seeking a part-time Recovery Coach Driver to provide peer support and transportation for individuals in recovery. This on-site role supports participants as they navigate treatment options and next steps within our community programs.

Qualifications

• Recovery experience and ability to share their path.
• Embrace culturally and linguistically diverse recovery communities.
• Understanding of addictive behaviors and recovery.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Completion of Recovery Coach Academy; working toward certification.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to and from various treatment locations in MA.
• Coordinate rides and pick-ups/drop-offs with partners and referrals.
• Build relationships with partner agencies and MOUD/detox providers.
• Explain recovery coaching and peer-to-peer support during rides.
• Discuss overdose risk, provide Narcan education and distribution when appropriate.
• Maintain notes, releases, and reporting to coalition partners.
• Assist in securing long-term transportation and attend meetings as required.
