Job summary

The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde in Sheridan, OR is seeking a Recovery Housing Support role to manage day-to-day resident flow and maintain a safe, clean environment in the recovery house. The position contributes to holistic health goals for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Requires two (2) years of experience in a role interacting with the public or providing security services; to include some facilities maintenance experience.
• If a recovering chemically dependent person must be in a program of recovery and able to provide documentation of sobriety for a minimum of two years.
• Experience with issues involving addiction required.
• OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Secure facilities by performing opening/closing duties and responding to security issues.
• Monitor patient-facing areas for diversion or loitering activities.
• Act as a positive role model for residents.
• Provide a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for recovery activities.
• Identify potential crisis situations and inform staff.
• Develop rapport with clients and answer questions about operations.
• Inform residents of site rules and expectations.
• Support Trauma Informed Care principles in daily interactions.
• Escort visitors and provide tours as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties during clinic downtime and maintain lobby cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize spills in patient areas.
• Identify and safely dispose of syringes or paraphernalia.
• Encourage clients to maintain cleanliness and a safe environment.
• Attend debrief meetings on safety or threat issues and contribute solutions.
• Serve on Safety Committee and conduct drills.
• Assist with equipment installation, package reception, and mail.
• Perform janitorial and maintenance tasks for tribal facilities and furniture.
• Check fire extinguishers and smoke detectors; report issues.
• Respond to false alarms during business hours.
• Assist with transporting residents to appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
