Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services Inc. is seeking an ICOD-Integrated Co-Occurring Disorders Peer Support Specialist/Certified Recovery Mentor for CCBHC to assist clients in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.

You will work with the supervision team to deliver recovery support, education pursuits, community connections, transportation, and engagement in services. The role involves facilitating classes and support groups, maintaining a personal recovery program, and modeling

Qualifications

High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Must have personal lived experience with Co-Occurring Disorders, to include recovery from substances use and recovery from mental illness.
Must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years at the time of hire including minimum of 2 years of sobriety/clean time and 2 years of mental health stability.

Responsibilities

Provides peer support and recovery coaching to co-occurring disorders clients.
Makes regular telephone contact to engage clients and re-engage those missing appointments.
Provides client transportation when approved by supervisor to treatment services and appointments.
Provides peer support during activities and helps facilitate groups and classes.
Maintains case notes in the EHR within agency documentation timelines.
Assists clinicians in group settings and supports clients in developing non-using recovery activities.
