Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services, Inc. is seeking an ICOD Integrated Co-Occurring Disorders Peer Support Specialist/Certified Recovery Mentor for CCBHC.

The role involves supporting clients with co-occurring disorders, providing ongoing recovery coaching, coordinating community resources, and assisting with education pursuits and transportation as needed. The specialist will help facilitate classes and support groups and model recovery-oriented behavior.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Must have personal lived experience with Co-Occurring Disorders, including recovery from substances and mental illness.
• Must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years (sobriety/clean time and mental health stability).
• Must have at least one of the following certifications at hire: Peer Support Specialist-THW or Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM).
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a valid Oregon Driver License and be insurable under the org’s policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and recovery coaching to clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Provide client transportation to appointments when approved by supervisor.
• Facilitate or assist in classes, support groups, and community activities.
• Maintain case notes in the electronic health record within required timelines.
• Attend sober support meetings and wellness activities with clients.
• Assist in group and office-based treatment activities as needed.
